Basic map navigation is taught on all HFL activities. The purpose is to provide individuals with ability to know where they are and promotes a sense of freedom in the bush or disperses any feeling of being 'lost'.

Hikers are taught basic bush survival skills.
HFL staff include qualified environmental scientists that will teach participants about the ecosystems within which we live, its interconnectedness and its beauty. Also incorporated, are the ways of the Australian Aboriginal culture. |

Some of the best adventures have incorporated wet weather. Experiencing the bush in the wet, is indeed special. HFL welcomes rain and the opportunity to share in the experience.

Each supported hike camp site is set up by the crew, which also includes meal preparation. Complementary Australian Beer and Wine is provided for each supported hike.
You are only required to carry a day pack when hiking. All other equipment will be transported by the support four wheel drive vehicle to the camp site.
